Where Did "KangoMedia" Come From?

People ask us this all the time. The honest answer is almost embarrassingly simple.

When Freddy and Ada were naming the company, they wanted something memorable with a Rio Grande Valley, Texas feel. Ada suggested fruit names like mango, citrus, valley lemons.

“MangoMedia” sounded perfect. Except MangoMedia.com was taken.

So Freddy changed the M to a K (he was also a fan of Kangol hats), and KangoMedia was born.

We almost renamed it after printing business cards and launching our first website. But clients loved it. It stuck. Now we can’t imagine being called anything else.
