So what is a responsive or a mobile-friendly website? And why does your construction company need to have one?
Today I want to share with you four reasons why your construction company needs to have a responsive or mobile-friendly website today.
1. Everyone has a mobile device and everyone is on the move.
Now the first reason is pretty obvious.
Today everybody has a mobile device and, whether they’re general contractors or homeowners, everybody’s busy…
Everybody’s on the go…
And so when they want to look up information while they’re on the go, or on the road, where do you think they turn to?
Well, they pull out their mobile device, they pull up a search engine like Google and they begin to type in the information that they’re looking for whether that’s research information or looking up a specific service provider or whatever it is.
They’re doing everything on their mobile devices.
In fact, today more than half of all web traffic is done on a mobile device. So users today expect your company website to be mobile-friendly, or responsive.
2. A responsive website makes it easy for visitors to find what they’re looking for.
Now the second reason why your construction company needs to have a responsive or mobile-friendly website is because you want to make it easy for your website visitors to browse through your services and your products and find the information that they’re looking for.
If they’re looking for your address or your phone number or employment information or your services, you want to make it easy to find.
You want them to be able to call you at the click of a button..
Or request a quote, or submit a request for bid at the click of a button…
Or apply for employment at the click of a button.
Gone are the days where you could have a visitor pinching and zooming and shimmying over content to find the information that they’re looking for.
If you force a visitor to do that, they’re simply going to click the back button and go to your competitor’s website.
3. Google prioritizes responsive websites in their index.
The third reason why your construction company needs to have a mobile-friendly website or a responsive website is because, beginning in 2015, Google began to prioritize mobile-friendly websites in their index.
In other words Google would prefer to show mobile-friendly websites then non mobile-friendly websites.
So if you have a mobile-friendly website for your company, Google is more likely going to show your website then that of your competitor.
This can result in more visitors, more leads, and more revenue for your company.
4. A responsive website enhances your brand.
And the fourth reason why your construction company needs to have a responsive, or mobile-friendly, website is because it enhances your brand.
It enhances the way that customers interact with your website, the way that they interact with your brand.
Your company will be viewed as a forward-thinking company that is using modern web standards.
So there you have it…
Four reasons why your construction company needs to have a responsive, mobile-friendly, website today.
